Privacy notice
This site is for readers of Make It Weird, many of them aged 13 to 17. It's built to know as little about its visitors as possible.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Beloved Websites (beloved-websites.com). Contact: info.belovedwebsites@gmail.com.
What we collect
Nothing you type: there are no forms or accounts. There are no adverts, tracking scripts, analytics scripts or embedded videos or maps, and the site sets no cookies.
Server logs
Our web server keeps a log of each request: the page, the time, the browser type, the page you came from and the country the request came from. It does not record your IP address. We use the log to keep the site working and to count how often each page is used.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks. It processes each request, including your IP address, to do that, under its own privacy policy. It sets a security cookie only in the rare case that it has to check a visitor isn't a robot.
Downloads and links
The template PDFs send nothing back to anyone. Links to research papers go to the publishers' own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Children
The site is written for readers aged 13 to 17. That's why it has no accounts, forms, cookies, adverts or tracking, and why its log keeps nothing that points to a visitor.
Your rights and complaints
If you have a question about your data or want to complain, email info.belovedwebsites@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
